Terroir Sonoro is a winery born from a fusion of music and winemaking. Founder Juan José Ledesma, a former grapevine genetics researcher for the Chilean government, discovered a century-old Malbec vineyard but was denied support for its restoration. Shifting focus, he explored the impact of music on wine, playing different tunes inside barrels to influence fermentation and aging. Following his discovery, he expanded Terroir Sonoro to work with dry-grown, ancestral vines in Itata and Biobío. True to its name, the winery harmonizes terroir and sound, creating wines shaped by both nature and melody.
