Production Notes
The grapes are hand-harvested from mature Primitivo vines grown in clay-limestone soils typical of Puglia. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures to preserve the aromatic freshness of the fruit. After fermentation, a portion of the wine is aged in oak barrels to enhance texture and add subtle spice notes, resulting in a wine of impressive depth and balance.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red in colour, the wine opens with aromas of ripe blackberries, cherries, and plums, followed by hints of vanilla, spice, and cocoa. The palate is rich and smooth, offering layers of dark fruit and sweet spice with silky tannins and a long, warming finish. Well-rounded and harmonious, it reflects the quintessential southern Italian style.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Islington Wines).
