This wine is a pure expression of Burgundy’s most emblematic grape: Pinot Noir. Inextricably linked to this historic region, Pinot Noir flourishes in Burgundy’s temperate climate and distinctive limestone-clay soils—particularly in the renowned Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, home to some of the finest Pinot Noirs in the world.
Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from 35- to 40-year-old vines, this wine reflects both the age and character of its terroir. The grapes are meticulously hand-picked and undergo two stages of sorting—first in the vineyard, and again at the winery—to ensure only the highest quality fruit is selected.
After complete destemming, the grapes are gently pressed and transferred into fermentation tanks by gravity. A slow maceration over approximately twenty days allows for optimal extraction of colour, flavour, and structure.
The wine is then aged for seven months on its lees in French oak barrels, 10% of which are new and lightly toasted, contributing subtle complexity without overpowering the fruit.
In the glass, the wine reveals a deep, intense red hue. On the nose, it offers generous aromas of ripe red fruits—cherry and blackberry—layered with delicate peppery undertones. The palate is bold yet balanced, with a refreshing acidity and smooth, silky tannins that lead to a refined, lingering finish.
