Hennessy Very Special, commonly known as Hennessy V.S, is the Maison’s iconic entry-level Cognac and one of the world’s most recognised premium spirits. Made from a selection of carefully chosen eaux-de-vie, it is matured in new French oak barrels to create its distinct bold, fragrant and rounded house style. Its rich amber colour, expressive fruit character and lightly toasted oak profile make it equally enjoyable neat, over ice or in cocktails. Hennessy V.S is a versatile, celebratory Cognac with a vibrant character that works beautifully in a classic Sidecar, Hennessy & Ginger, or simply with cola and a twist of lime.

Production Notes
Cognac is produced from wine made with grapes grown in the Cognac region, then double-distilled in traditional Charentais copper stills. Hennessy selects and blends its eaux-de-vie before maturing them in French oak barrels; Hennessy V.S is matured in new oak to build its bold and fragrant style.
Tasting Notes
Bright amber in colour. The nose shows fresh toast, roasted almond and brown sugar, followed by subtle fresh grape and vine-fruit aromas. The palate is rich and creamy, with vanilla, toasted oak and fruit notes, finishing fresh, floral and lively.
Food Pairing
Enjoy with dark chocolate, toasted nuts, caramel desserts, mature cheese or rich duck dishes. It is also excellent in cocktails or served with ginger ale, cola and fresh lime.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. We also deliver to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, Scottish Isles, and the Scilly Isles for £12, and to the Isle of Man for £20. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
Yes, we offer a Click & Collect service. Orders will be ready for collection one hour after placing the order. You can collect from our shop in Bromley Cross, Bolton, Wednesday to Sunday during our opening hours (Islington Wines).
You can return items within 30 days of purchase if they are unused and in the same condition as received, including original packaging. However, certain items like perishable goods and gift cards are non-returnable. Refunds will be processed once the returned item is inspected and approved.
