Kalmoesfontein, home to AA Badenhorst Family Wines, is located in the Siebritskloof valley of the Paardeberg mountain within South Africa’s Swartland region.
This 28-hectare estate of old bushvines is managed by cousins Hein and Adi Badenhorst, whose family has deep roots in South African viticulture — their grandfather having managed Groot Constantia for over 40 years.
The cousins have restored a historic 1930s cellar on the farm, where they produce natural wines using traditional methods. Adi Badenhorst is a leading figure in the Swartland Revolution and the Swartland Independent movement, known for his commitment to authentic winemaking and his vibrant personality.
Note:
Occasionally, a wine’s vintage or label may change without prior notice from the producer. We do our best to keep our website accurate and up to date. If you receive a different vintage than the one ordered, it simply means the previous vintage has sold out.
If you require a specific vintage, please leave a note at checkout or contact us directly by phone or email before placing your order. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, and we’ll do everything we can to meet your request.
Thank you for supporting a local business — we truly appreciate it!
