The Allegrini family has been cultivating grapes in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico area for six generations, and their estate now spans 100 hectares of vineyard. Giovanni Allegrini founded the current form of the estate, which passed to his three children after his passing in 1983. While all three ran the estate together until Walter's death in July 2003, Franco now oversees the vineyards and serves as the winemaker, while Marilisa is the director of marketing.
Allegrini's Valpolicella boasts a ruby color with violet hues and offers intense fruity aromas of cherries, pepper, and aromatic herbs on the nose. On the palate, the wine is juicy and snappy, with a delicate dimension that pairs perfectly with appetizers, soups, pasta dishes, roasted or grilled white meat, and even fish dishes in the summer.
