Le Marquis de Calon Ségur 2019 is the second wine of Château Calon Ségur, one of the historic estates of the Saint-Estèphe appellation in Bordeaux. The wine comes from vineyards planted primarily on deep Quaternary gravel over clay-dominant subsoil, conditions particularly suited to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The 2019 blend combines Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small proportion of Cabernet Franc and was produced using carefully selected, manually harvested fruit. It reflects the estate’s traditional Bordeaux winemaking approach while being made as a distinct expression of Château Calon Ségur’s terroir.

Production Notes
Grapes were manually harvested between 24 September and 9 October 2019, with initial selection in the vineyard followed by vibration destemming and manual sorting. Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled, truncated-cone stainless-steel tanks with approximately 20 days of maceration, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless steel. The wine was matured for 17 months in oak barrels, of which 30% were new, and was fined with egg white.

We offer free next-day delivery on all UK Mainland orders over £150. For orders under £150, a delivery fee of £10 applies. Orders are dispatched Wednesday to Friday, with cheese orders specifically dispatched on Wednesday and Thursday.
