The Morgon appellation spans 1,100 hectares of schist and granite soils, producing wines often regarded as the most "Burgundian of the Beaujolais crus." This estate’s Morgon comes from the "Grand Cras" climate, where 55-year-old Gamay vines are planted at a density of 10,000 vines per hectare. The grapes are harvested manually and vatted whole, with vinification and aging in temperature-controlled vats. The wine has a brilliant carmine color with purple highlights, offering aromas of ripe black fruits, citrus, and spice. On the palate, it is fresh and harmonious, with silky tannins. It pairs beautifully with beef, coq au vin, or beef bourguignon and can age gracefully for 5 to 10 years.
